Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel rooms were almost like new and well prepared, but unfortunately, I experienced unacceptable noise from the ventilation/heating unit that vibrated all night, sounding like a jackhammer, even when turned off. The service was lacking in some areas due to a lack of training, but the staff was indeed very friendly and helpful. The location was key for us, but it was a bit out of most things. The dining experience was excellent, with great service and fresh vegetables. Overall, a mixed experience with positives and negatives.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. On the bright side, the rooms were very nice and modern, offering a comfortable stay. However, the unacceptable noise from the ventilation or heating unit that vibrated all night was a major drawback.
The hotel has a pleasant, contemporary decor but unfortunately, the noise from the ventilation/heating unit was unacceptable and vibrated like a jackhammer all night. The staff was very friendly but seemed lacking in training and effort, especially during check-in. The location is close to downtown Iowa City but somewhat out of most things. The dining experience was excellent, with very friendly service and crisp salads. Facilities were decent.
